All synced, plot check ok, but no plot farming

Hi all,

At first, thank you to read my message and for your help.

Before all was working great when all my plots where on the pool poolsar.io. After some times, I realized (after several days) that I didn’t received any chia anymore and that was due to the fact that the pool has closed.

I migrate all my plots to self-farming + I took the opportunity to update my chia docker to a newer version (1.2.11 right now).
After being synced to blockchain :

Can you tell me if there is something wrong ? Moreover, have the ‘Farmer public key’ of a plot to match to something ? To one of my wallet ? What can I do to fix the issue ?

After typing the command ‘chia keys show’ :

Can you be a bit more specific about your setup? System? Why Docker? All-in-one full node, or maybe remote harvester(s)?
Did you check the error log for errors/warnings?

Thank you for your message.

I am using docker because it is launched on my Synology NAS : DS1821+ (with 32GB of RAM ECC).
The following services are launched: wallet, harvester, full_node, farmer.
I checked on logs but nothing related to this. like there is no errors
Maybe I missed something, do you know where to look ? is there any pattern in the log I could check ?

I don’t understand because before all were working great.
After pulling the new version of the image (latest), I just reloaded the docker using the same data (by configuring the persistent volumes). I have done that several times in the past and it has always worked. The system has stopped to work at the moment that the pool service has been down: is it possible that it compromised the nft plots changes ?
And never succeed in farming again…
Because I suspected a bug on the release I waited the next version, 1.2.10, then 1.2.11, but not fixed… So it could be somewhere else…

No log appear if I performed an operation to remove and add the plot directory.

I have little experience with chia full node as docker container on Synology, only running a remote harvester in docker (DS1618+).
But from the log it appears as if the harvester has trouble connecting internally because there is a certificate issue.
So the harvester sees and reports all the plots (plots check command addresses the harvester), but the farmer does not know about them and reports 0 plots.
On my remote harvester docker I have to assign a folder containing the ssl certs of my full node to an enviroment variable ca. Again don’t know if this or something similar applies for full node mode but maybe you should check things in this direction. Perhaps the new version has new/additional environment variables. In v1.2.10 the passphrase was introduced for instance and this probably has to be passed with either true of false and a passphrase file if applicable. So maybe things shifted a bit and the latest versions needs some more configuration?

Could you share the environment variables you have to assign for a full node. I might give it a try on my DS1618+.
Something like my harvester config (sorry in Dutch but you’ll see what i mean;-).

No don’t worry about this. A pool has no means to change anything on your farm or plots. As long as you have the 24 word mnemonics and the plots you can always start from scratch (without replotting;-)

No worry for the german, I studied it long time ago in school, don’t speak very well, but I can understand some parts

Here are my environment variables:

Actually, I tried several things, and ends to get the last default variables from the last image and setup again just making sure it points to the good volumes for plots, profiles and logs.
Maybe I could try to set specifically the ca directory like you.
I can initialiaze the whole thing, but I am worry about the db for node and wallet because it takes so much time to sync.
I tried to “chia init -c” (+ fix permissions) and it ends to re-init all ssl stuff and have the same result (like described in this issue with no active plot). At this moemnt, if I just copy my original CA (in ca directory) letting the other refreshed certificate it does not work anymore (node does not even start). And if I put all my original certificate (including the CA, but also the others), node is starting but come back to the issue with no plot.

Hi,
Just to say that the issue is solved by resetting the whole environment

I saved my db files for the wallet and full_node.
I installed from scratch the image, just pointed to my plot directory and keys.
I wstarted the container, waited a little bit and then stopped the container, and finally restored my both db and started again.
I think that I will never understand what was wrong (at least does not seem to be a normal behavior), but at the end it is working and what a relief

That’s seen a lot on this forum, resetting/restarting solving a problem that was hard or near impossible to analyze. A bit unsatisfying sometimes but getting it to work again is most important.
A lot more to configure to run a full node on synology/docker… Also I just realized there is no GUI available, so I’ll stick to my setup with plots on a remote harvester configuration on the Synology and a separate (diskless) full node with GUI. I think the GUI is more convenient, especially with the new features Chia is offering.
