Arc plot gpu plotting 0.6 release, please help test and send feedback

If you have terminal window, so you run Ubuntu desktop? The gui it self need ram for it. So you maybe run out of memory. Try set a bigger swap file like 16-32G?

i improved by setting default to 12 min plot

Arc_plot updated, new benchmark is 6.8mins for 3090 lol

arc plot not support windows?

WHAAAAAAT XD

How important is the CPU? Can I save on the processor (100-150ā‚¬ used) and focus on the 3090?

Focus on 4090?

If your buying a gpu just for plotting donā€™t get more than a 3060.

Unless, you can plot on GPU-only in less than 5 minutes in Clear Linux with official Chia supportā€¦do not bother.

CPU RAM/SSD rig does ~20min per plot with ~150Wā€¦my AMD RX 6800 XT idles at 70-100 W ROFL

Fastest plotting OS Clear Linux do not support GPU very well.

Hardcore guys use RAM only rigs that spit plots in less than 15 min. If I recall, there is new official RAM only plotter that does <10min per plot but needs >256GB of RAM

ok on new ver of arcplot i have downtime to 9 min per plot on default setting think i can get those 7 min np but I have bigger issue copy speed from nvme to hdd is low and take 11 min per plot
this is my big limit

Iā€™m very curious to see some benchmarks!

there is or will be support for pascal gpus ? the 1080etc

Do you have any benchmark of the 3060?
I would like to get a ā‚¬ 1000 PC (used) that can plot every 10 minutes.

Donā€™t spend $1000 on a pc just for plotting

Especially as there is a minimum ram requirement.

Iā€™ve dropped some hints in the flexpool discords chia channel if you canā€™t wait for the announcement.

**solve this problem by turnoff swap memory **
-----
**more swap not working every time riche 2.5g swap crash the terminal **
by turnoff in stable on 40-60 plot after that have this err **
ā€“
terminate called after throwing an instance of ā€˜std::runtime_errorā€™

5950x, 128GB 3200Mhz, corsair MP600 core nvme (a quite slow drive)
cpu plot = 1080s
rtx3060 12GB - 5 threads = 950s

Maybe with fast nvme would be a bit faster, but I have one with NFTS system and even the drive is 5x faster looks like issue is NTFS so plotting crash

stage 1 GPU power 113 from 170W
stage 2 goes from 15-50W looks like it depend on CPU also

WIll test any updated version when released also

PS, with GPU plotting I need to use 110G ram drive as -R switch revert to CPU plotting, looks like bug
