if you look at sda ( hdd1 ) sde ( hdd5) sdg and sdh – all of them 18 TB hdd full - 234 plots.
and there is a free space 14.8-15 GB
I plotting with a Threadripper 3960x, 256 GB ram, RTX 3080TI 2 NVME
1,68 min/plot
u can get an overview with
df -a
it should look like this
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdaj 17576509020 17566662612 9830024 100% /farm_ch/01

if u got a lot less 1K-blocks u should use better filesystem options to make EXT4
i normaly use something like this
sudo mke2fs -I 128 -m 0 -N 10000 -t ext4 -O ^has_journal,extent /dev/XXX
after formating drives, i used
sudo tune2fs -m 0 /dev/sdX for expand it … but still 234 plots, and not 235 plots as my math told me before
yes, something i did wrong.
I never got this with NTFS… I should not change it to ext4.
xfs with crc=0 ,formated only 45MB used.
Thank you for this.
amarena, YOU ARE THE MAN !!
THank you.
I confirm that - after i tested 2-3 filesystems( ways ) to format ext4, your commmand is great. I didnt know it coz i was working always with ntfs but was looking increase hdd copy speed.
I own you a beer.
Confirmed 18 TB - 235 plots C8
BlackEgo,
What kind of ram do you use?
The chance of having to compute a full proof is roughly 1 / (2 * difficulty). The cost of computing a full proof is 8 (for C6+) or 16 (for C5 and lower) times that of a quality lookup.
So for diff 18 and C6+ it’s: 8 / 36 = 22 % more compute
And for diff 100 and C6+ it’s: 8 / 200 = 4 % more compute
Im sorry for not seeing your post.
I dont understand : what kind ?
if u refer to GSkill 32 x 8 slots
Any updates to your table?
