Bram Cohen from CNI tells farmers to burn their farms down, Dan Perry cosigns this sentiment

Our totally level headed leader is here with a new hot take on fixing the problem with token price. Could arson be the answer? According to Bram Cohen, it is!

Dan Perry echo’ed the CTO’s thoughts but cautiously suggested burning down everything you had away from him because he does not want to be inconvenienced in any way.

Will you partake in the solution of token price appreciation or will you appreciate the low heat output of your hdds? How will users or netspace react to these new guidance from our leader.

As you probably know Bram Cohen has a developmental disorder called Asperger Syndrome. I suspect they try to keep a tight leash on his dealings on social media but he makes wild statements every once in awhile.

I’ve a better idea, send all your (decent) hardware to me, no point burning it.

@ShotEm IMHO Casting aspersions is a political tactic. Sounds like you have a political goal. What would that be?
Anyway, it’ll take time to roll over everyone’s ancient financial engine softwares to digital currency’s features.
As you were.

Asperger is no excuse for being a liar and asshole towards others.

What a misleading post title.

I totally agree, Bram was just being ironic. The problem is not his, it is the problem of those who insult him without understanding the context of his words.

“The problem is not his” Then who the guy next door? What if you find out that BitTorrent wasn’t really his idea in the beginning. All come down to who brought it to market first. Sounds like the Peanut Butter story…

I didn’t say that everything he does is right or that I think it’s right. I mean that in the case of this post, he didn’t say that we should burn anything; he said it in an ironic way. So please don’t misinterpret my words.

Bram’s point was that burning the pre-farm is a dumb and narcissistic idea; that it’s the equivalent of asking a farmer to burn their farm.

I can’t agree or disagree with you, because I don’t know what Bram said, but that’s not what’s written at the beginning of the post. You were a lawyer, right? The facts are that Bram says one thing, someone starts the post lying and saying that he said another, and now you tell me that “he said…”, what you say may be true but it’s not from this post so it’s not appropriate to quote it here, with all due respect.

I understand that you don’t find him as nice as 3-4 years ago and that some of you wish him the worst, but lying is lying, even when it’s done about someone you don’t like. And saying that Bram wants us to burn our farms is a lie and it’s taking a phrase out of context.

Bruh. You can gather what he meant from what he said:

“How about you ask other farmers to burn their farms down…”

You don’t need to know what preceded that to comprehend what he’s talking about.

You’re good at mixing in irrelevant red herrings, I’ll give you that.

The OP’s subject line was clickbait; but my summary of what Bram said is accurate.

Idk I just decided to make clickbaity titles since the last one went so well

if you think I should stop I will, im just so frustrated that I essentially lit my money on fire with this shitcoin

But that’s crypto, all crypto’s, yes you may get lucky with one or two, but the majority are a very bad gamble, and from the outset you should write the money off. That is the biggest lesson I learned, hence I will not be getting involved in any other crypto.

To make money out of crypto, you rely on someone else losing money, so there will always be losers, and that’s the majority of people who get involved.

Nailed it. I’m with you 100%. Chia even made me distrust Bitcoin - it’s a greater fool asset. I’m done with all magic Internet money.

You know, my take :
The only person you should ask reason why you invested in Chia at loss is yourself. Tokenomic was clear from the beginning, wasn’t it?

Bram being… Bram, will just say things as they are, sometimes abruptly but I’m 100% with him.
Can he be wrong? Hell yeah!
(still thinking of him saying NoSSD is snake-oil when I get my daily payment…)

But even when Chia hit the 1000 bucks psychological barrier, he said numerous times : “I would not suggest anybody to invest in new hardware to farm”.

Did I? I did.
Who is to blame : Me.

My NoSSD farm is going on with no pain, I’ll hit the 100 XCH I was seeking, I may replot new format if I think it is feasible @ low cost, or I may recover my funds after reselling my HHDs, or I may not.

It was a lot of fun, a lot of pain, but I enjoyed it from day one because I made other things that paid the bills.
And, in the end, the only person responsible for my decision is : me.

Tokenomics all changed when they began selling the pre-farm pre-IPO. They said they would NOT do that.

Farming profitability was diving LONG before they started selling the prefarm.
That just made it worse.
