BT Smart hub 6 - Port 8444

HI Everyone

I have reset/reloaded the whole chia gui.

It is now taking hours (over 10 so far ) to sync

Go to my BT router port forward port 8444, save

Go to port checker it still says port 8444 is blocked…

Turned off windows 10 firewall

Still blocked…

Created static IP

Still blocked…

Anyone any ideas please… It is ‘doing my head in’

Make suire you check your port from a device that’s not connected to your network eg, phone using 4g. Just take note of your external IP from when you’ve tried to check using the comp.

Did you talk to your ISP? They might be blocking it.

just checked port with mobile phone on mobile data
external port is open…

But sync has been running for 15 hours and is only halfway there…

When i run same port test on my chia pc to external address it also reports port open…
But when i try my internal ip address, my chia PC, it reports
Port 8444 is closed on 192.168.1.213.

192.168.1.* is reserved only for home networks.

You do the port check on your static IP on your WAN (externally facing IP address).

I have just checked again after a reboot
The port checker reports the port is closed until i start the chia app …
At which point it reports the port open …
So I assume the port is open

But, why then has it so far taken 15 hrs to only complete half of the sync???

Bloody hell…

I have just done another port check and the port is reported as closed…

Argh???

Could this be the upnp or the extended upnp settings on the router???
