Can you plot and farm at the same time with the GUI?

Hi;

Sorry if this question has been response but not clarify me old post…

Question is simple:

¿Can configure harvester machine to plot and farming at same time with CHIA GUI?

¿it is normal when harvester machine produce one plot and farming, not count plot in full node?

doing something wrong?

System A: Full node, ploting and farming

System B: harvester, with upndp disable, configure ploting via CHIA GUI , farming via CHIA GUI

Yes, you can definitely plot and farm at the same time via the GUI. I strongly recommend that you plot from the command line though, as it is a simpler setup and gives you more control.

Any plot produced by the GUI is automatically added to the plots folder for your farm in my experience… so that folder, wherever the plot went, is part of your farm.

Thanks for your help and your opinion, days ago I added a second system as a harvester, the first system works as a connected node, currently it is doing plotting and farming work. I have recently seen how the performance of the second system down more than 50% in the creation of plots.

I think I have to improve the efficiency of this using plotmanager, comands line, as you mention…

Currently I do not know if I am doing the second machine (harvester) work whose purpose is ploing and farming correctly, the GUI of chia shows me this, it gives me a bad feeling that something is wrong.

Plots from harvester system 2 (ploting + farming) not counted in principal system 1 (node + farming + ploting), I used the trick to change value from config file, self_hostname: 0.0.0.0, and not work

I think I just realized one thing, with my second system (harvester), I should not have the CHIA GUI open this causes problems.

Excatly. if you run for example; chia start farmer on your main machine (full-node), you will realize that the farmer services are already running. On your plotters you simply need chia.exe available. You now have two options: You start Chia GUI, enter your mnemonic and close it right after it again (never open it again).
