Confirmation that READONLY access is enough for farming?

Well I’ve finally maxed out my plots, got 3 external drives with 36 plots each. I was a few weeks late to the party to get any kind of reasonable odds, about halfway through I was down to an estimated 4 months win time but now with all of it done I’m back to “a year”.

It was only 3 years when I had 1 plot to start with

To the point though, I’m obviously not going to abandon this lottery ticket, just want to move the disks from a windows machine over to my old 2013 MBP. Got a USB hub that’ll cover the ports etc. but I know macOS only mounts NTFS partitions as readonly. From my understanding of how Chia works and one anecdotal post somewhere I believe readonly is fine, but can anybody confirm that?

Yes, read-only is fine for farming.

Thanks, be nice to play some games on my PC again - tends to crash a bit so have been avoiding that while farming/plotting.

Yes, see Do Finished Plots ever need write access?
