Farming : make first PC becoming plotter and secondary becoming farmer

Hello,
I will have a second computer (PC2).
My first computer (PC1) is farmer and plotter and with the wallet. He is connected to a external HDD where plots are stocked.
I would like to make PC2 as farmer, plotter and wallet, and make PC1 only plotter.
The two computer are under Windows 10.
Can you explain me in details what is necessary to do please ?

Hi Jhon,

You will need to log in with the same wallet to the plotter than close it.
Disable the upnp so it wont create conflict with the main farmer.
To do this you have to run a cmd command.

So, i understand, i install chia on PC2 and do import from mnemonics (24 words) ?

  • After i disconnect PC1 from chia (close chia.exe)
  • connect on wallet on PC2 via the fingerprint on gui of chia
  • disable upnp from PC1 and start chia on PC1 ?

You do not need to close/stop PC1
You import wallet (24 words) on pc2 than close the app before sync.
Disable upnp on pc2 via firewall or using the command prompt (you can also go offline during the plotting)
Start plotting than transfer the plots to PC1 or to your NAS

Disable upnp on PC1 for me because i want PC2 becomes farmer only and be able to make plot and PC1 becomes only plotter

I think i will need to copy the database blockchain from PC1 to PC2 to avoid to wait few hours to synchronize with the node on PC2
