How the temporary double space works

hello, I’m trying to better understand how the temporary double space works.
This is à Round Robin Usage ?
Or
One threads by space
Or
the load is distributed so as to always use the fastest

For 1 plot, i need 275 Go by space or 275Go distributed on 2 space.

I ask these questions because I have a lot of RAM and I thought it would be good to redistribute the load on a RAM Disk.

Yes I’d love to know more about this. Is the temporary space really 236 GB? Or more? How do two temp locations work? I was thinking about using a ram drive as I’ll have a machine with around 328GB of ram but from what I hear parallel plotting to multiple drives is more efficient
