How to start farming on the same desktop

Anyone can guide on how to start farming on the same desktop?

I have only garnered the hardware aspect so far. Planning to start plotting tonight.

Anyone can advise on the farming aspect? In my case the same desktop.

Farming can be started right from the GUI, you don’t really need to do anything else for that. Or are you talking about something else?
