Anyone out there experiencing 30+ second response times with systems that have a mix of SAS and SATA drives?
I have a mix of SATA and SAS drives in a machine and a few disk arrays. I never had an issue related to mixing the drives. I did have a few issues on some drives with bad sectors beginning to have long response times. I would single out the problem drives with long response times in the log, and then check the disk health on those drives.

a bad driver slows down the entire system. this happened for me. In the end it went to warranty.
Ya, I think it turns out to be a bad drive. Sucks because its one I recently purchased. Yay!
