I’m sure netspace will drop below 20 EiB this weekend, its currently at 20.07 EiB
Apart from a very brief blip on 4 December 2022 it hasn’t been this low since 8 June 2021.

This is exactly what happened… 19.9 EiB, indeed!
A few days ago it also briefly dropped below 0.020 ZiB.

Netspace seems to have flattened out since the price recovered to $15 or so.
NO clue if this price will continue to hold, or what’s holding it up at all (unless the “carbon credits” stuff was bigger than I think).

And I’ve seen bounced below 20 earlier in this week, then it bounces back up to 20.
Might be a temporary flatten out, might not.
In any event, I’m still plotting to something else (and have started replotting drives from one of my older miners that started going flaky on me a couple months ago, shifting the drives to a different machine as I plot them).
It has been so close for so long…

It’s slowly but surely getting smaller, but that means farmers rewards will increase.
It’s going to be me last day farming, will turn it off tonight.

I expect the money from the drives will end up in my pension, to buy ciders in the future when I’m retired. Wages from work pay for my cider, and I’ll have more as I’m not wasting 6 kWh of electric a day.

When temperatures drop, maybe net space will increase a bit?
I can heat my apartment with my furnace, or with my hard drives. Others might have similar situations.

It was a short recovery, or some of the “randomization” inherent to the data points.

Population isn’t as high in the Southern Hemisphere as the Northern.
India China and the USA are almost half the world population by themselves - and ALL northern. Then add in Europe - and you have most of the farmers of Chia accounted for.
