Sure shouldn’t be a problem.
From a cost perspective not the most economical way to go unless you plan on making 5000+ plots.
Those drives main advantage is that they have a high endurance, but as we have noticed is that most consumer drives do quite well and can easily make 2000+ plots, see link below.

Also now with the plotting software from madmax, you don’t need so much space on your ssd anymore, 1TB is enough for most cases

Has anyone here personally killed an NVME ? (NVME Endurance)

I’m just wondering, with all the talk about TBW for the NVME drives, how many people here have actually killed one of them because they exceeded the TBW number? I know that number is for warranty purposes. So how far have you gotten beyond the specs? I think it would be interesting. Maybe we can begin to get a list of real world endurance of specific NVME models. I am running Samsung 980 Pro’s and 970 Evo Plus’. But I am nowhere near the TBW number. But I’ll keep an eye on them and post the numb…

Only if you want to use a Ramdisk

Ramdisk (especially in Linux) are fast and RAM has no wear, you can write as much with it as you want so that is the main advantage. With 128GB you use a 110GB Ramdisk that take 75% of the writes, for the other 25% you use ssd.
But madmax also runs fine on ssd only.
