Newbe Question would dynamic disk a good idea for storage?

I have a few disks in an enclosed bay attached to a laptop (temp Till I get something built ). If I converted, the drives in the encloses to a dynamic disk setup, give me any advantages?

Nope. Any kind of Disk combining is useless and counterproductive. U neither need to raid the disks, and you don’t need any LVM offered features. Redundancy and dependency just make things complicated and the loss rate higher in case a drive dies. You want them separate as single drives. There might be some really weird situation where u would need something like the mentioned things BUT not sure we really need to consider two 80gb drives  or some really old low storage disk. Not sure if u mean with dynamic disk what I think it is but the answer is with very high probability NO
