NoSSD Chia Pool, +30% reward with new compressed plots, fast plotting without SSD

Two process, I describe hee NoSSD Chia Pool, +30% reward with new compressed plots, fast plotting without SSD - #777 by Godz

@Dawson any news about 1.2 version? roadmap?

We have a few issues to fix. It will be a maintenance update mainly focused on user experience, no big changes.

-m Amount of RAM the client should use during plotting or finalizing.

@Dawson how much memory is required to complete in-memory plotting? My setting -m 110GB seems to work.

The current version of the plotter requires 123.5GiB of memory

Anyone else having problems with random crashes? Happens 2-3 times/week.

No crashes here but I solo farm!!!

I use docker image, no crash.
But i nave separate pc for farming and plot generation

I running it in a Proxmox VM on Ubuntu. Plenty of RAM plenty of cores. Nothing else crashes, just the NoSSD client.

We had one similar report but apparently it was an out of memory condition. Do you run plotter? Do you start other programs? What command line you use, machine, OS etc?

Pool updates:

  • Version 1.2 released. Changes are minor so we will not use autoupdate this time
  • Discount period for early adopters is over and the fee is set to itā€™s original value 3.5%
  • Weā€™ve added badges to our website and everyone who have received at least one payment by now gets ā€œEarly Adopterā€ badge

Please have a flag to replace chia plots with Anthony plots over time. Where it deletes one or two chia plots and makes yours so I can just run one command and be done w/ it. Thabks.

@Anthony plz sir.

Just have your plotter with a -rip flag where it replaces plots in place with your plots (by replotting 1, deleting 1, replotting 1, and so on) to maximize farm income while switching to your pool

I dunno, it seems pretty negligable the amount of Chia one loses out on by keeping 1TB or 2TB offline per day - weā€™re only talking 2 or 3 cents. Iā€™d be more worried about having a ā€˜plot killerā€™ script running anywhere near my farm honestly.

if i have many nossd plot task on one machine, that many processes can share one nossd cache file?

Each client instance requires separate cache directory (use -s option to set it).

i think that crazy amount of memory helps you a lot. i am afraid to invest so much in old dd3 memory - not sure I can sell it at end

why i use nohup start client, when the terminal stop, the nossd client stop(show save deallocate memory),why not run in background.
