NoSSD Chia Pool, +30% reward with new compressed plots, fast plotting without SSD

hey,man.

NOSSD pool seems stoped working since yesterday, anything wrong with your team ?

Itā€™s working for me. No issues.

Works.for.me no issues.

Anthonyā€™s plotter.is great. Been running 5 days without stopping.

Hey any way to finalize faster? One core maxed out takes 10 mins to finalize each plot.

Why canā€™t I finalize 1 on each drive, or 1 per thread? I have plenty of resources.

@rallbright May be in the future versions. But do not wait for it.

I do not wish you any pain or failure, but I predict future massive pain and failure choosing to participate with NoSSD. Waste of time and resources.

Official plots or bust.

Like I might have to replot? Oh well. Iā€™m getting more XCH for the same drive space and Iā€™m getting paid out every block win. Until that stops, please explain the danger.

My farm is also working very good with NoSSD. Plotted 350TBs and getting paid for 420TBs and it is still adding more compressed plots everyday. Will update total farm size when everything is completed at level 5 on my 350tb farm. Thank you Dawson!

My tiny 200TB farm is working great onn nossd as well and now being paid for around 230TB. I was able to migrate over a month to nossd plot by plot so experienced no drop in the tiny income I was generating just a steady increase over time.

If nossd disappeared tomorrow I would probably shut down the farm and wait for the new compressed official Chia plot format coming soon.

Considering I can easily plot 200TB with my gaming PC in under a month there is no risk and any potential downtime has been covered by the gains I get with nossd.

But I can understand multi petabyte whales like you bwfree are wary and this is not a good option for you.

For quite a long time, this thread has changed from hostile exchanges to basically a friendly support thread for NoSSD. What really motivates you to bring back hostilities to this forum? You provided zero data to support that statement.

You must have one hell of a gaming PC, less than a month for 200TB of plots? what are you gaming on?

A friendly support thread? I smell a lot of fake BS in here but thatā€™s only my opinion. You donā€™t need an ID badge to post in here or create an account. If your business venture needs positive commentary? Pretty easy to make that happen. Ethics donā€™t really apply to the internet in most cases.

Yes, well my gaming PC is a bit OP. I have a i9 10900k and 128GB RAM. I have been plotting/farming since launch so have now plotted my farm 3 times (original, pool plots and now nossd). I used some of the initial chia coins I earned when the coin price was high to upgrade the CPU and RAM when I had to replot for pool plots. Min/maxing for plotting is actually fun for me where as farming is boring. My farm size has been slowing growing too but not much since pool plots. My farming PC is a i7-4770 which also plots some so maybe 200TB just on my gaming PC is not quite accurate.

@dawson would you consider creating a discord channel for NoSSD help/support/discussion?

The stuff is more or less legit ive gotten about 10xch from this pool and the claims add up to the additional xch I get. Tomorrow they could set the pool fee to 100% and there would be nothing I could do except replot. And I would replot. Simple as

In the last year how many centralized points of failure have been exposed in the crypto space, culminating in the implosion of FTX within the last week? And you want to detract from a commenter, pointing out the blatant risks in having what are supposed to be universal plots running on decentralized farms and pools subjecting themselves to the whims of a single entityā€¦ What could go wrongā€¦

You donā€™t need common sense or intelligence to register for a forum and write a post. One only needs a keyboard or method of input. All the other givens? Those are not required. Iā€™ve learned this about the internet over the years. You have to know whose opinion to value. Who has credibility? Just typing something isnā€™t enough. Self-professed intelligence or ā€œIā€™m never wrongā€ is just part of the internet. If we could print some of this stuff on paper? We would have endless supplies of lining for the bottom of our bird feeders.

There are over 900 replies in this thread and the risks have been explained ad nauseum.

If NoSSD shut downs we have to replot, we get it!

Not really. Majority of this thread is about pros and cons, so that part has everything you want to see and that posts brings nothing new, just unsubstantiated claims and personal feelings. That poster comes back to this thread every other week and posts the same thing, like a broken record. You may note that he was already asked to better explain his statements, and apparently went blank on that.

I am for all comments that are based on data, but not those that are based on ā€œturtles all the way down.ā€

I would also assume that most of the people already decided in which camp they want to be and went their own ways. I would also expect new readers to at least browse through those ~900 posts, not just read one and join one camp or the other.

Although, I would also like to see this thread split, and have the support part moved to another one.

Split into a support thread and a small paddock for haters
