I’d be surprised if they didn’t at least match the compression levels.
I hope they address this soon as well as the new plot format around the corner.

Brian, I’m guessing you watched the CNI dog & pony show on the new plot format?
They seemed nervous to me, it felt like watching a couple of hucksters on the QVC tv show selling a salad maker. Then Gene comes in as the closer to wrap it all up. I have zero confidence in the entire team at this point.

I agree. I have been getting bad vibes for a while now. I enjoy this hobby. I dont like being gloom and doom but damn. The small sliver of hope at a price hike was because bitcoin saw a resurgence and 2 weeks later chias price needs a parachute. Spacemesh appears attractive at this point.
You all guys let you lead from the price! I bet most of you buy when prices raises but refuses to buy low hanging fruits. As I said, in economy intrest rate hikes will affect the market after months! Same is with the halving!
I was actively participating in the DrPlotter booth and listening to Bram and Nick talk about the new plot format. As with any change, it causes angst. Nothing is final yet and I have confidence that the community will help shape what comes next insofar as plot format. I do think it’s important to get ahead of the possibility of a rental attack. I do NOT think it’s important to prevent GPU compression (i.e. bit dropping). However, bit dropping and rental attacks go hand in hand, so something has to be done. I just hope plotting is not painfully slow or necessitate extensive disk writes.

It MEANTS 1 single 4090 farming ( solving ) 18 x 18 TB hard drives.
So, in my case, I have 800 drives I will need aprox 45 x GPU 4090 ?
45 x $2000 = $90.000 / $40 ( xch) = 2250 XCH
Am I wrong with this calc ?

Hello, tell me why, when using docker on truenas, some flags do not work, --no-gpu-ploting – no-gpu-mining --no-ntp, it says that these flags are not supported. I am running a test setup on a system without a gpu, it passes the benchmark, and then does nothing, it gives a time error, although the time is the same everywhere, including the BIOS.
What command line do you use to run docker container?
