Operating System installed on slow vs fast disk and plotting?

hello, i noticed a big difference between installing the operating system on slow disks (even though my temporary space is on SSDs) and fast disks.

anyone other than me noticed this difference?

today i will try with an operating system mount in DDR.

I use CentOS.

Can you be more specific: What is different?

Time for build a plot

Where the OS is installed shouldn’t matter, unless you are running out of memory and exercising the pagefile, which is usually on the system disk?

It seems on win10 that windows “do ntfs catalog things” on the bootdisk while plotting on other disks. One of m plotter uses a REALY old HDD to boot. If there are many parallel plots in Phase1 that windows puts 100% load on the bootdisk.
