Ssd's effect on performance

I currently have nvme m2 disks with 3500 write speeds. If I buy 980 pro with 7000 speed, how much will the writing speed decrease? What do u think?

I am currently writing 6 plots at the same time. 6 plots run in parallel at 5.30 hours. for example 3 hours?

RAM 16x4 GB (64 GB) Gskill 4000 MHZ
Intel(R) Core™ i9-10850K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz

These speeds are not relevant for plotting. So should have a look at reviews on for example tomshardware to see a drive’s sustained/native write speed.

The speed of plotting is mostly decided by CPU single core performance and the total number of plots you are running (CPU total usage) The ssd write speed has to be enough to keep up with the rest of the system and the number of plots you are running on that disk, but after that there is much less benefit of having faster ssd’s if your cpu cannot go faster
