Syncing speed doesn’t really depend on "quality’ or distance to peers. It only depends on the speed of your CPU, the number of cores it has, and how fast is the drive that holds your db.

Indeed! In my case, switching from an HDD to an SSD greatly increased the sync time. It’s Incomparable!
