Who is actually using Chia?

When looking up information on Chia, it is largely focused on the mining aspects of it.

However, I see there is platform components to build projects on, so I was curious of what services and projects are being built on the Chia network?

How are end users actually using Chia today? Or are we all just looking to acquire it on speculation that one day it will have use/value?

Chia is gaining interest because of its novel use of space and time PoW.

We have burstcoin and filecoin as well, so where do we see Chia being used in the wild?

I am very interested in discovering that too…what are the A P P L I C A T I O N S? All they have given to us is oh it’s greener, and apparently almost impossible to farm until you spend 1000s of dollars and buy space for us…

Looking at Chia explorer,. The fees is pretty low per hour too. I assume that is due to low transaction usage?

Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Mainnet was launched just 2 months ago and transactions haven’t even been live for 3 weeks…

Nowadays we are used to inmediacy, but the reality is that things requiere effort and time to accomplish. If you don’t have patience and confidence on the project, you should go somewhere else… cause imho it won’t go to the top (if it goes) that quick…

For me it’s the team that I’m more investing in as well as for their long term vision. They will have a few features that could make it used for NTF/ICO and some others I’m blanking on right now.

One of the more interesting things is they are going to go public and try to peg xch to the stock price which should in theory make it more stable than a lot of other coins.

Even though it’s been in development awhile, it’s still in its infancy. I’m curious to know if this will be successful or not in the long term.

I am right with you. I am interested in the tech of the project, so I am mining out of pure speculation and geekery. I think there is a lot of potential.

However the network and platform needs utility to be used so that it persists. It is still in the foundational phase for sure but it will be curious to see what might be built upon it that gives the platform value.

I think a lot of us are into for the geekery

I didn’t mean my question to be negative at all. It is more curiosity of what is transpiring on the Chia network already beyond just farming.

yeah, i understand! sorry if i sounded rude! english is not my native language…

it’s just i’m a bit tired of all that people whom probably didn’t even read the green paper or business whitepaper and got into it because they thought they would became rich easy and quick with a few hdds. Especially since transactions, many messages in that way…

44 pages of math formulas I don’t understand, I’ll settle for the business paper

fair point though

well, imo the green paper is readable most of it without taking much focus on math parts. but yeah! it took me lot of determination to go through the whole paper and understand some parts…

there is also a more techy paper about consensus algorithm implementation: https://www.chia.net/assets/Chia_Proof_of_Space_Construction_v1.1.pdf

however, i believe business whitepaper it’s enough to know about project journey and future expectations… if you don’t want to take much account into the techy part of it.

PS. i like investing, so i use to read that kind of company reports daily
