3100+ plots. It took 76:01:39 to hit that…yes, 76+ hours. for 310TB. i.n.s.a.n.e.
Curious, how long did it take you to compute THAT many plots?
I’m building a supermicro JBOD system this week. What version of Linux are you running? What filesystem are you using? (EXT4?) and what RAID level did you use on the drives? Did you create 1 giant logical drive or a bunch? How many plots per folder are you using? So many questions! Thanks in advanced!
I’m running Debian and XFS filesystems. No raid, just individual disks
Why did you choose XFS over EXT4?
Mainly because parallel I/O has better performance
Take a look at this: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux-58-filesystems&num=4
Hello, I Have 54 Lands and I Have No XCH Award Now I Understand That We Absolutely Need A Pool: /
Reading this makes me realize how lucky I am winning a block with my first 40 plots, lol.
You must be very lucky my friend.
i testing plotting across xfs and ext4. xfs is faster.
How much faster? What were the numbers? Just curious!
