Tell me you are short without telling me!
That sums up Crypto perfectly.
LOL thats for all asset classes the same!
A blochain is preventing the short scam, because you canât sell anything you donât own, or sell securities multiple times like they did with AMC and GME. Wait until people find out, their bankroll number was shared multiple times and if they demand their money, the banks canât deliverâŚ
I donât know what backwards country you live in, but banks here donât do that. We use the US Dollar backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government and insured by the FDIC.
I agree with Bill Gates and Warren Buffet - the entire crypto asset class fits in the Greater Fool Theory. Took me several years to finally see through it all.
Iâm just curious to understand why netspace has not come down with the recent price collapse. Any ideas? Inertia? Free electricity?
Check nodes drop - Grafana (the chart title says 5d, but it is 90d). It is a steady drop. Looks like smaller farmers are dropping off, while whales are most likely still converting to higher compression. My take is that this is the reason for a slower netspace decline.
Question - where are we currently? How many rounds of exchange are behind us and ⌠how many more ahead. It is certain that on the âjudgment day of the last foolâ âŚblood will be shed âŚ
But âŚwho said that you canât make money on this for a looooong time?
Oh, the specificity of the human race âŚ
Greater Fool Theory : do you thereby believe all crypto is worthless?
As long as you can find some fool to buy it, it will have value, but that could be a lot less than you paid for it, or what it was worth when you received it.
My personal experience is crypto is a sure fire way to lose money. You either need to be very lucky, or know exactly what you are doing.
You need to be very lucky but tell everyone that you know exactly what you are doing!
I do not believe blockchain technology is worthless (e.g. a decentralized database keeping accurate records of transacting in a fast and efficient manner). But the price/value being attached to crypto, in my opinion, is all driven by the greater fool theory.
How much debt has your country? Are they willing to shrink it anytime? Do you ever heard about petro dollar? Itâs gone! Take a look at Dollar long time chart if you canât figure it out, better donât invest! FIAT is only debt, who wants to hold the debt?
First off, netspace HAS dropped about 1.5 EIB in the last month.
Second off, price seems to have become somewhat stable around the $15 mark.
Which is becoming the full faith and credit of the United States Governmentâs huge printing machine.
Our economy has problems for sure - like inflation.
Here are the inflation rates for various countries / continents:
That was the first link in the search, as I didnât look for a specific rates to prove any point.
What the debt like and who owns the debt?
Double digit Trillions of national debt (I think itâs around $35T but might be off a ways).
Most debt seems to be owned by British and Chinese in recent years.
As always, there are plenty of search engines that can provide some info.
Here is the Wikipediaâs list by countries (sort by 4th column - Gross debt 2022):
If someone is looking for a low debt ratio country, looks like DRC is recommended to move in. Also, looks like Mexico is not that bad. I guess, those countries must be heavens to live in (based on the question posed and the raw data).
Just stating âinflationâ or âdebtâ is at best myopic, as the raw number doesnât tell much, if anything.
Anyways, this is chia related forum, so no point to bang on it, just because someone used it as a âtrickyâ question.
