@madMAx43v3r I got a 3060ti Today but the results are the same, it is like no matter what GPU I put the results are always the same, at this point I am sharing just in case these results help anyone.

So I tested 3 different GPUs on 3 different machines:

GPUs tested: GTX1080ti, RTX 3060ti and RTX A2000
Machines: HP Proliant DL560 G8, Dell R720 (quad socket), and HP Z420 workstation

Results are all ~ 8-10 mins plots regardless of what GPU or machine I use.

I cant figure it out, Im trying wsl but I cant find any step by step how to make all this work, I can make plots with my 3060 in 5 min but I cant make the farmer work, no ideea what to do

Any piece of hardware that is the same in all cases? Like RAM, SSD?
Also which version you are running?

This indicates an issue with the -t drive.

RAM is the same across all 3 machines (same model of RAM).

Not enough RAM? need 256 or 128G

I have 128 ddr4. First with (windows) -M 128, last tries without it.

You need a -2 drive for 128G partial RAM mode. Also -M needs to be 64 (only half the RAM can be pinned in windows).

Maybe a bit misleading, but -M does not limit total RAM usage, only the amount of pinned RAM (called GPU shared memory).

E: is a raid 0 3x256 gb (698 real) SDD
C: is a raid 0 2x2Tb m2

Witch could be the best configuration for k32 ? Could I plot K33, k34… ? k35 ???

k32 is max with 128G RAM. you can try using the other RAID for -2, or switch them up, hard to say which is better without knowing the models.

Sorry I did not understand, If I use all (4Tb C:, 750Tb E:, and 128 RAM) the biggest probbably will be k34 (k35 impossible for me, I understand) and I must put:

.\cuda_plot_k32.exe -n 1 -C 7 -t C:/ -d “whatever” -2 E: -M 64 -p potatoe -f tomatoe

No you need more RAM for that, 256 and 512 respectively

Is any chance we will see 64 or 32 gb as ram req?

So, With GPU I only can plott until k32. Will be more in the future ? And for k33-34 I will need CPU, I’m right ?

@madMAx43v3r I decided to try bladebit before I change anything in my hardware and amazed I was! 3.16 minutes for the first plot and it took 60 sec to flush it to disk

How big is the final size of the plot C7 with bladebit?

the C7 on bladebit is a few gigs bigger than Madmax’ Gigahorse (78G vs 75)

Yeah pretty sure it’s your NVMe, however it’s very strange to see such a massive slow down with my plotter still.

Bladebit uses Direct IO to write to the NVMe, I used to have that option but removed it because it didn’t help nobody as far as I could tell, I might add it back in.

Is Gigahorse the only compressed plotter and farmer? I want to be able to create compressed plots and SOLO farm them on my own node. I don’t want to be forced to use Flexpool with the plots created by Gigahorse bc my OG solo farm hits 27% more blocks on average than flexpool’s top 10 farmers… (and that was measured consistently over the last 6 months…so it’s not a fluke)

Also is chia coming out with their own compressed plotter soon?
