Incompatible network ID errors?

Hi, I can find these errors in my log:

2021-06-08T16:10:11.747 full_node full_node_server : WARNING Banning 172.x.x.x for 10 seconds
2021-06-08T16:10:11.749 full_node full_node_server : WARNING Incompatible network ID. Maybe the peer is on another network

What´s the reason?. I have port 8444 opened.

Thanks.

Hmm. Not many people are reporting that error. Anything unusual about your network configuration?

Hi!, nope, everything seems to be fine, but I receive that warning from time to time in logs file.

Strangely I have the same error since a few days…

Same here

Having the same issue for quite a while now, as far as I can tell it doesn’t seem to be a problem but has left me wondering whats going on?

I’m on Linux, using version 1.1.6

Hi, just wanted to bump this thread, I get these messages continuously and I’m sure there are more people experiencing this than are voicing it on this thread. My main concern (since this logged message is a little ambiguous) is that they could potentially be malicious attempts at communicating with a full node, If not and then that’s great but it would be good to get some clarification on what this message means and what could be the potential cause. Thanks

For me this seem like connections of a chia hard/soft fork that maintain a different chain and use the same full node tcp port…
