From a farmers POV I never liked extreme plotting tweaks and involving GPUs. I switch from gpu to pos mining because when you fill up the hdds with nvme what seems to be OG now, it was working like a clock. For a 400tb farm the costs of electricity is nearly 60dollars and for that you get around 3,5xch which kind of cancel each other out. RPI is like 10 years for the hardware. :sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile:
To buy gpus and constantly burning 5-8kW, just to stay in the competition. No thanks :slightly_smiling_face: not so chia like it was ment to be.

I donā€™t consider it a big loss! They couldnā€™t build a plotter that would compete with the madmax plotter! CNI needs real specialists, not faces!

try NoSSD C32. This type of compression cancel the 2 halvings. - al most

NoSSD cancels nothing. It burns more energy than produces XCH :wink:

Just do the numbers. The ā€œbestā€ solution till halving was Chia C4, MMX C6 - it was perfect balance. After halving, Chia C4 couldnā€™t do what plotter simulation ā€œpromissedā€ā€¦adding underclocked RTX 3060Ti added about 20Wh

It was confirmed by real numbers, and lots of whining. The more you are to truth, the more bullshit one hears.

Burning 400+ Wh with RTX 4090, which still costs like 2000$ makes no sense unless one starts from scratch right now, having no HDDs.

RAW space with optimal compression still beats any kind of compression, unless your mom pays the electricity bills. Nobody in Europe earns money on Chia right now. ~30c/kWh no matter what compression one has :wink:

Sorry for late response.
I mean there is a good way to farming Chia with NOSSD C32 plots.
I give u an example:
60 x 18 TB -C32 plots Im farming with 2x3060 TI. It is still OK.
What you must do :

  1. benchmark your GPU ā€“ and see what type of hdd you have.
    if you are smaller than 16 GB is not so great but it is still OK.
