Plotting to your public keys for download and (coming soon) courier delivery of pre-plotted drives

We will plot for you at homegrownchia.com

Need help plotting? Need more plots? Want to grow your Chia farm faster and stand a greater likelihood of winning XCH? We’ve got you covered.

Introductory offer. Just $2.49 per plot. Demand based pricing means this special rate won’t be around for long. Free uncapped 1Gbps per customer download always included. Storage for as long as it takes for you to download to your Chia farming drives. Large orders yield larger discounts – message us for more. We don’t charge for egress bandwidth.

We plot so you don’t have to (as much). Save space and time. Save your consumer grade SSDs from wear.

It can take 6 to 12 hours to produce a single plot on a domestic computer with the OG Chia plotter which is the only currently fully approved way of generating plots capable of winning block rewards on mainnet. So why not make use of our plotting capacity as well and boost your plots added per day into orbit?

Because we plot in parallel on enterprise grade hardware, we can generate plots for you as fast as you can download them (probably faster).

Once our enterprise grade custom built plotting servers are ramped up with plot seeds bespoke to your farmer public key and pool public key, your plots will start appearing for download, at a rate of approximately one per hour, for as long as your subscription lasts or until your fixed term order is fulfilled. Choice of cloud provider for small test orders or dedicated 1Gbps SFTP for orders of 11 plots or more.

A 1Gbps fibre connection takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to download one plot. We recommend you check your internet connection speed with speedtest.net before ordering and let us know the results so we can plan and advise accordingly. Order today, start downloading tomorrow. Downloads available for 24 hours from seed.

Once you’ve pinged us your speedtest.net results, we will titrate daily K32 plot production numbers to match what you’re capable of pulling down the pipe, and adapt to real world download speeds experienced by you once you start collecting plots.

Linux and MacOS

How do you find your farmer and pool keys?

On Linux or MacOS you can use the following command from the Chia install directory:

chia keys show | grep 'Pool\|Farmer'

If you installed the GUI on MacOS you may also find the following works:

cd /Applications/Chia.app/Contents/Resources/app.asar.unpacked/daemon ./chia keys show

With windows, the process of finding your public keys is a little more fun:

  1. Open the Command Prompt by going to Start and typing cmd and pressing enter.
  2. Copy and paste: %APPDATA%/../Local/chia-blockchain/app-1.1.7/resources/app.asar.unpacked/daemon/chia.exe keys show
  3. REMINDER Never share your private keys ,only public keys can be shared safely. You will find your 96 character public farmer key and 96 character public pool key in the command output.
  4. If you see an error message on the first line, it’s possible you’re running a previous version of Chia application.
  5. To find out your current Chia version on Windows simply copy and paste cd %APPDATA%/../Local/chia-blockchain/ followed by dir
  6. You should see a version number that looks like app-1.0.5 or app-1.0.6 etc. Replace the version number in the command at step 2 above, and try again.
  7. If none or not all of this works, don’t despair or tear out your hair. Let us know and we’ll help you out.

Extra special offer! Just $1.49 per plot for the first the first 10 orders of 100 plots or more from Chia Forum members. Free gigabit download. No cloud egress fees.

Seems kind of expensive now that MadMax makes plotting so fast.

$1.49 per plot seems kind of expensive? There’s no such thing as a free lunch – plots cost money, however they’re produced, even if the costs are amortized and baked into the cost of buying and running plotting hardware (as is the case for us).

MadMax can make things easier, and may be faster for some less optimized systems with less storage that can’t handle parallel plotting. But then it degrades and burns it through SSDs proportionally faster, unless you’re using pure RAM disk for temp space, of course. It’s quite likely that it will get rolled into the official plotter sooner or later, but also quite likely that some changes will be made to the code to improve the quality of the plots it generates.

Plus, Netspace is still trending up - buying plots to boost the growth rate of your farm can make financial sense if you’re betting that will continue and XCH isn’t going to get any easier to farm. Every TB added to a farm this week is worth more than every TB added a month now in terms of chances to win blocks… but, your mileage may vary. If you’re happy to stick to queuing plots on your own hardware and don’t want to double or better your farm growth rate right now, that’s fine too.

Still expensive when we can do it at 1.19$, 0.8$ go to ssd costs for us

How charming of you to share your advert.

Didn’t meant it like that, just that you seem to have a cost sink which may be fixable

Power costs nor ssd wear n tear can cause such a high cost, I mean we plot anywhere between 0.06€/kwh and 0.38€/kWh even at the 0.38€/kwh it’s not a as big chunk of the budget

Is it bandwith /traffic related

Anyhow im sorry if I upset you., much success to you

Thanks, reasonable points I guess. I suppose it’s possible to scrape by at basement rates, but it’s questionable how long it’s possible to make sustainable net profits after covering all expenses, rent, taxes, etc. At the end of the day it makes sense to meet in the middle and charge a fair amount for any service that people feel adds value.

An introductory rate of $1.49 is well below the levelized cost of plot production for most people using consumer hardware who don’t have access to free/cheap power or free/insanely inexpensive hardware.

Plus, we offer highly discounted rates for large PM negotiated orders. It’s a farmer’s market after all.
