Selling 29 usb external HDs - 5tb to 18tb - Katy, TX

Located in Katy, TX - Strongly prefer local pick-up, may consider shipping if drives aren’t sold before 2024.

All are in working condition, as you can tell from the model numbers, they are not very old. I used them for mining for about 1-2 years depending on the drive. All well taken care of, setup in a well ventilated area with cooling fans all around. Most have the original boxes, all have the required cables. If picked up locally, test before buying if you bring a laptop to connect it to. All sales are final, so encourage you to verify condition when purchasing.

Will consider offers for bundles / full lot purchase at a discount.

Is the pricing per drive or per lot of drives?

You’d be better off selling on somewhere like eBay, before the recent news most wouldn’t pay more than $10 TB, maybe a little more for large capacity drives, now I don’t think many will be expanding.

Sad you’re selling these, but really, you need to watch the market pricing. I’ve paid a lot for drives in the last couple years, but prices are volatile. You can’t expect to recoup what you’ve spent, or even anything close. I use this on EBay, for example, as reference for anything I sell. Check this out, it should help you set your expectations … for 18tb anyways > wd 18tb for sale | eBay

Good luck!

My listing is cheaper than any of the eBay listings for the same models for buy it now pricing. Thanks for the feedback. Good luck.

I’ve always sold my used drives on eBay as buy it now, and always achieved far higher prices than I would here. I wait until I get an 80% off fees offer, then list them.

You may get lucky on here, but the recent news is going to make it an even harder sell on here.

I used to list drives on a specialist UK forum, but they never sold or I got offered well under the asking price, the take away is that people on sites like these are far more price savy.

I appreciate all the advice and bumps of the thread, but I’m just looking for buyers. If y’all aren’t interested, it’s okay. Thanks.

I’m curious if you still have the original boxes for proper transferring in bulk and photo(s) of said β€œbundles” for shipping etc ideally with some serial numbers slightly visible?

Also at approximately $10TB or less ideally, as someone else mention than the most one might bid would be $4K to $4,365 for the entire 473TB farm with 12TB and 5TB toss in for the travel expense for local pick-up.

I’ll let it all go for $5000. I’ll throw in a few odds/ends like power strips, USB hubs, etc that went along with the farm. I can throw in an HP computer that’s less than 2 years old with an AMD ryzen CPU, Nvidia 1660, etc and monitor/keyboard/etc. at this price as well. The case is stripped down bare, but it works perfectly.

Basically a working farm all in for $5k.

Bump, lowering to $4.5k for everything, local pickup only.

Price reduced to $3.5k, must take everything, will not part out at this price.

Sharks will smell blood in the waters now with the price per TB at ~$7.39

Any actual hard photos as shark chum to help kick off the feeding frenzy down to $5 per TB?
