It appears that Spacepool is closing down, they are the second largest pool, another sign of the way CNI and Chia are going.

Hi @everyone,

I come bearing sad news today that the Space Pool team has decided to cease pool operations on Nov 15th 2024. We love this community and very much enjoyed providing and maintaining the pooling service over the last three years, however, the simple reality is that the economics haven’t worked in our favor for most of this year. In fact, we were paying out of pocket these last few months to keep the lights on while looking for alternate funding sources without avail. The timeline for our shutdown process will be as follows:

Before Nov 15th 2024

  • Pool continues operating exactly as is without change
  • Please find an alternative pool or switch to self-pooling during this time

Nov 15th 2024

  • Pool will stop claiming and distributing pooling rewards after this date
  • Any blocks farmers win after this date can be claimed via self-pooling if their PlotNFT was still assigned to Space Pool

Nov 30th 2024

  • All farmers who meet the following criteria will be gradually paid out by this date:
    • Had farming activity within the last 180 days
    • Has had at least one payout historically
    • No minimum balance needed - any remaining balance will be paid out
  • Please download your farming stats and any CSV exports by this date if you wish to retain them

December 2024

  • pool.space and xch.space websites and mobile apps will be decommissioned.

I always used https://foxypool.io/ @felixbrucker is always helpful if you have any problems. They also have a Discord server.

I used Foxy when I was farming. It was great, very informative and easy to use. But even they are down to ~144PB. How long will they last is anyone’s guess. Rome is crumbling before our eyes!

WOW… I was preparing to shut down my farm, I just had not decided on a date yet… I guess one has been picked for me… I learned a lot, expensive lessons though… Good luck all other Chia farmers… R.I.P. Chia…

have been using xpool for some years :frowning: sad news for chia and the owners of the pool, best of luck in your projects

any way to move our pools to something else… will they just become self pooled? or will we have to delete them and replot ?

If you used NTF plots then its easy, you can change pools by using the pooling tab.

Make sure you withdraw all XCH before switching pools.

I used Foxy Pool all the time I was pooling, and I recommend them.

I just left the spacepool and continued solo. One day after, I got I chia (0.125 + 0.875). My ewt is 7 days now.

No I didnot. If you have nft plot simply change pool setting to solo.

IF the plot is a NFT plot (if you’re already using it on a pool, it is NFT), it can be used on any other pool except NoSSD (they have a proprietary plot format).
