Ubuntu does not recognize my hard drives, even though they appear in the BIOS

Hey guys,
New to plotting and trying to set up a new plotter machine. Previously I had an issue when installed Ubuntu 20.04 and none of my Seagate IronWolf Pro 16TB NAS Internal Hard Drive HDD were recognized by the disks program. They did show up in Bios as SATA drives but none when the ubuntu desktop was loaded so I couldn’t mount the drives. I ended up reinstalling Windows and it instantly recognized all the hard drives. My hard drives are Seagate IronWolf Pro 16TB NAS Internal Hard Drive HDD – CMR 3.5 Inch SATA 6GB/S 7200 RPM 256MB.

What did miss with Ubuntu installation? Hopefully someone will shed light on the issue. Thank you!!

You need to make sure you mount the drives and have them configured to automount. Linux is a little more hands-on than windows. Below is a link to tell you how to do it if you decide to return to Ubuntu.
