any server/workstation grade stuff have RAM thermal throttling…thre should be no issues.
I see plotting speed drop if RAM overheats…i usually have ~60°C

That’s why im asking about what kind of plotter used.
As I recall, Gigahorse supports Compute 5.0 cards (Maxwell/9xx series), but official needs 5.2 (Pascal/10xx series).
What? I’m very confused. On Nvidias website it says a 3080 should be supported. Or am I missing something?
16GB mode is disabled in Windows as there was issues, and there is no 64GB mode, for Windows you need 128GB minimum.
3080 will work perfectly, so long as everything else is correct. I’m doing 159 second plots on mine in Linux with 256GB
You need 128 gb ram. 64 and 16 gb mode is disabled. I have rtx 3060 128 gb ram 9 minutes plotting and 3-4 minutes direct copy to hard disk.
I had similar errors on Linux if I tried to farm, and plot on the same GPU
Plotter use 127 GB ram and 1 GB is left for GUI decompression. Also running chia farmer on the plotter increases plotting time. I assume you have 128 gb ram.
latest Bladebit v3.1.0
C4 plots ~4.8 min with 3060Ti + E5-2697v2 + 256 GB DDR3-1600MHz. New MB with single CPU, unable to force RAM at 1867MHz. Another rig, dual Xeon, was ~4 min C7. It could be about the same, I guess.
Hello all
Can anyone help me
i have chia plotting build
AMD Epyc 7551
320gb of RAM
Nvidia 2070
windows 10 pro
And i have a problem - illigal memory access when total progress goes to 90% with bladebit cuda
In Chia ver 2.01 there was a flag in advanced plot settings - Disable direct download and with this flag i have my plots completed successfully in 99% runs.
In new version of chia there is no such a flag. аnd i dunno what to do. where to dig?
Windows 10 has always been a bit problematic plotting, and I don’t think those problems have been resolved.
Best advice is install Windows 11, or better still Linux Mint, it’s so much faster at plotting, even if you just install it on a spare SSD just for running plots off.
As temorary solution i downloaded 3.10 rc2 version, in that version is stil avaible --no-direct-io (disable direct download)
New very odd thing
If in bat
–no-direct-io -n 1
i have near 100% successfully created plot
if i change -n 1 to -n 2 i have 100% crash on 1st plot
If i change card to 12gb 3060, will it help, or is windows related thing?
Did you download bladebit_cuda 3.1.0 ?
3.1 is version where my problems begin. In previous ver (build in chia 2.0.1 release) for me all was fine.
With 3.1.0
Here is the string that works for me testing.
C:\bb_3.1.0>.\bladebit_cuda.exe -f ffffff -c cccccc -n 6 -z 7 cudaplot --check 100 --check-threshold 0.8 f:\plots\
