When is the new plot format coming out?
The ai internet seems to believe this:
Chia 3.0 released in Summer 2025, enabling the new format, followed by a ~6-12 month transition period (late 2025 to late 2026) for farmers to replot, culminating in the hard fork activation around June 1, 2026 …
but chia is on 2.5 afaik
the format is still being worked on, and from the discussions in discord dr nick and co are just finalising the finer details
bump
Any news? I don’t discord. I see they’ve been busy on the 2.7.0 to 2.7.5 patches this year to keep it chugging along and get some of the code lined up.
I’ve been out for a few years and looking to scoop up a few coins on the discount in case the gaming side of the ecosystem sticks the landing on a few projects - I’d rather wait until the new format to replot though.
