Best and worst exchanges

Hello all, New to cryptocurrency in general. Looking for reliable exchanges. Heard some good things about Coinbase and Kraken and some terrible things about Binance. But looks like they all have pros and cons. Based on your experience, which exchanges would you recommend to sign up or stay away? Thanks.

Why don't we still know what exchanges will list Chia?

It’s less than a week now and we still don’t know which exchanges are going to list Chia. Is this a common practice in cryptocurrency world or is Chia being extra secretive? Just don’t understand what would be the downside of announcing it earlier. This way people would have time to open accounts in those exchanges and have time to verify their accounts. Isn’t it in Chia’s best interest anyway? Please let me know what I’m missing here. Thanks.

How will the first few weeks of XCH trading work? How to prepare?

Hopefully major exchanges will open XCH markets very quickly! If not, and we’re looking at a certain “wild west” trading phase – what will it look like? Where do you think it’ll congregate? Short of regulated exchanges, are any kind of escrow mechanisms going to be a factor? (like LocalBitcoins or some DeFi thing) I’m topping up a reserve of stablecoin (+ ETH for gas). Other ideas how to be prepared?
