What are your guys thoughts on the “right to be forgotten” and what it means for the use of public blockchains?
We are doing public research for our virtual private blockchain project.
Also what are your thoughts on payer vs payee privacy. Would you rather interact with a VPBC that has privacy for only the payee, or would you prefer privacy for both the payee and payer?
Public blockchains are exactly that - PUBLIC.
All of the information in them is available to anyone.
You can’t change that, it’s inherent in the concept of public.
There have always been (and will continue to be) pressures and groups of people who want to make certain secret matters public, and in other cases - make public matters secret. As usual, citing the “broader context and public interest and security”. And so it is always - and we still believe in democracy and politicians… Like children in the fog…
Which does not apply to the content of a PUBLIC blockchain, that has to be public for it to even work.
IF any cryptocoin wants people to work with it, some aspects MUST be public or they can’t get anyone.
