Why are rewards escaping into the blockchain black hole? / EDIT : Not anymore in version 2.5.2.

Today is Saturday…
This is a day to ask questions.

Well…
Is there a chance to make:

  • having such a farmer status,
    243

  • after pressing this button,
    242

  • for the truth to appear on this display?
    244

People after many months of requests, still have to believe that their rewards are not lost, even though they do not see them…
Yes, I know that you have to delete the wallet file - but it does not work for everyone; not every time.
This causes unnecessary stress for many people.

I am not a programmer - but looking at how many detailed changes are listed in each newly presented version of the original chia client software - I wonder if it is really that difficult - and where is the problem?

Or maybe someone already knows the solution to the problem?

Have a nice weekend!

I do believe this long standing issue was fixed in one of the more recent releases

The commit was in November last year. You can see the PR referenced in the 2.5.1 release notes under “Fixed”.

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me, despite version 2.5.1.

Can I really trust these automatically generated receive addresses, which appear as new ones every few software versions?

Or maybe it’s better to enter the main, first farmer’s address for receive, the one that was given first in the OG plots?

I’ve already accumulated quite a few of these rewards and I’m not entirely willing to click this magic button, because I have a moral hangover…

I also remember that when I collected a reward once, I got some fraction of XCH in addition to the normal amount of 0.875 - I have no idea why. It’s 100% not a fee!

On the second node, I see all 0.875 XCH but… they are not accepted into the total amount held in the account.

Overall - it’s a really big mess…

If you are still on 2.5.1, your mempool is full and you will need a particularly large fee in order to claim solo-pool rewards. Upgrading to 2.5.2 will clear your mempool and reduce/eliminate the need for a fee.
On a related note, anyone using a version prior to 2.5.1 probably can’t make blocks. Everyone should upgrade to 2.5.2

Thanks for the advice!
I confirm - in version 2.5.2 the collection of rewards is already visible, however the historical “previously invisible” rewards have not been completed (i.e. the total amount is correct, but they are still not visible in the transaction description).
Additionally, after another deletion of the db wallet on another PC - this “magic transaction +0.13” (it was not a fee) finally disappeared. If I recreated the wallet from the old data… it came back. Has anyone lost 0.13?
